Sales Appraisal

One of the first questions that home owners want to know when they are thinking about putting their property on the market is, “How much is my home worth?” Our local specialist agents are here to help you answer that question. 

What is a sales appraisal?

A “Sales Appraisal”, often also referred to as a “Market Appraisal”, is simply an agent’s professional advice on what your property is worth.  Completing an appraisal on your home is part of the sales process and happens before a home is listed with any agent.

What do you take into consideration?

To understand the value of your property, our agent will look at recent comparable sales in the area, properties currently on the market, and the direction of general market trends. 

When looking at your home, we will take into consideration a number of factors, including  the location, the age of the home, the size of the house and section, the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, garage/car spaces available, condition of the interior, and the overall appearance of the property.

What is the process and what can I expect?

Step 1: Complete the Market Appraisal form by clicking on “Request an Appraisal” on this page.  Or if you prefer, you can call our office or one of our agents directly.

Step 2: Our agent will either visit your property to meet with you and view your home; or we will catch up ‘virtually’ and view your property either via a video call or via
photos / video that you send to us. 

Step 3: The agent and our sales support team will prepare a detailed written Market Appraisal for you.  This will be delivered personally to you whenever possible.  Alternatively, we will provide you will an electronic copy of the report immediately, and pop the hard copy in the mail to you.
